Peels

A chemical peel uses chemical solutions to remove the damaged outer laters of the skin to restore the texture and firmness of your skin, while reducing unwanted pigmentation. The damage to the skin produces new collagen in the area during the healing process. This new collagen brings you a more youthful appearance by tightening the skin and reducing wrinkles.

At The Art of Skin Dermatology, we offer a variety of chemical peels to effectively address various chronic skin conditions. Uneven skin pigmentation, scars, sun damage, fine lines and acne are skin conditions that an affect your appearance and self confidence- at any age.

Did you know that sun damage is the primary cause of uneven skin tone? That is because sun exposure triggers melanin production to protect the skin. Hormonal changes, aging, acne and scars can also cause uneven skin pigmentation. As we age, wrinkles and fine lines appear as elastin and collagen fibers, which give the skin suppleness and strength, are reduced.

Chemical peels can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures. The peels can be done at different depths, from light to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more dramatic results, but also take longer to recover from. This non-surgical skin rejuvenation treatment is suitable for adults of all ages and skin types. We understand that each patient is unique, which is why we customize our chemical peel treatments to cater to specific needs.

Whether you are struggling with acne scarring, signs of aging, sun damage, melasma or simply want to enhance the appearance and texture of your skin, our chemical peels are an ideal solution. We will inquire about your current routine. Depending on your medication regimen, alternative skin rejuvenation methods may be more suitable for you.

A chemical peel is a specialized treatment that involved applying a personalized chemical solution to the skin. This solution gradually peels away the treated area, revealing fresh and smoother skin, resulting in a more youthful appearance. Although chemical peels are commonly performed on the face, they can also be used to rejuvenate the skin on the hands, chest, and neck.
